PHARR – The City of Pharr has been working toward improving and revitalizing its downtown area. Residents have seen recent efforts including the installment of traffic medians to increase pedestrian and commuter safety and keep traffic flowing. The city also installed new left signal blinking turning lights, which are proven to improve safety and reduce traffic. The city is also making plans to see further redevelopment of certain areas of the city, including the downtown area, to encourage private investment and reinvestment of sustainable neighborhoods and businesses in the city.
