EDINBURG – Vietnam Veteran Cruz Yanez was recognized in Commissioners Court for his exceptional bravery while serving in the U.S. Army. Hidalgo County Veterans Service Officer Felix M. Rodriguez introduced Yanez as an American hero and requested support from the court in the effort of Sgt. Yanez receiving the Congressional Medal of Honor.
