Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, widespread social distancing requirements were in place across much of the state in April, leading to the steepest year-over-year decline in allocations since September 2009.And in case you're interested in how other Texas cities compared for the same reporting period, June 2019 vs. June 2020, Austin was down 19.93 percent, Brownsville down 20.10 percent, Dallas down 24.40 percent, El Paso down 13.55 percent, Houston down 17.15 percent, Laredo down 25.4 percent, and San Antonio down 16.34 percent.
