Congressman Gonzalez announces $1.3M for McAllen water project

McALLEN — Congressman Vicente Gonzalez, TX-15, announced Monday that the Bureau of Reclamation, in conjunction with the WaterSMART Project as part of the White House Interagency Drought Relief Working Group, has approved $1,327,305 for the McAllen Public Utility’s Reuse Water Enhancement Project.South Texas deals with an aging water infrastructure, uncertain access to water, a growing population, and a large agricultural system.
