McALLEN – Following an Executive Order issued by Texas Governor Greg Abbott requiring travelers to self-quarantine for 14 days as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) issued the following statement: “Travelers from COVID-19 hot zones may be threats to our communities if they have unknowingly contracted the virus. States should institute any measure they see fit to curb the proliferation of COVID-19 including self-quarantine for travelers from pandemic hotspots.
