County distributes over 5,000 bottles of hand sanitizer

EDINBURG – The Hidalgo County Office of Emergency Management has distributed 5,760 half-gallon sized bottles of hand sanitizers to first responders in several municipalities within the county including the City of McAllen, Sullivan City, Penitas, Elsa, and Mercedes. The distribution came as a result of an in-kind donation from Gulf Coast Distillers for 20 pallets of hand sanitizer with a market value of $85,286.40.
