EDINBURG – The Hidalgo County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, in partnership with all Hidalgo County Law Enforcement Agencies, Mujeres Unidas, the Hidalgo County Family Violence Taskforce, and the City of McAllen will commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month with the 5th Annual “Purple Day” on Thursday, Oct. 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the McAllen Convention Center, 700 Convention Center Blvd. Purple Day focuses on Domestic Violence Prevention with information and resources provided to the general public.
