On Monday morning, Robert Vela High School in Edinburg entered lockdown after a report of a possible weaspon, the Edinburg Consolidated School District said in a release.According to the report, “Edinburg CISD Police were already on campus, investigated immediately, and found no weapon.”Out of “an abundance of caution,” Longoria Middle School had also entered a lockdown due to the investigation at Robert Vela High School.The district reported that no weapon was located at either campus and as a result, lockdowns were lifted.No injuries were reported — all students and staff were safe, according to the district.“We appreciate our students and ...
