Special to the AdvanceEDINBURG — The City of Edinburg is asking its residents to nominate an individual of “extraordinary public service or exemplary contribution” ahead of the ‘Hometown of Heroes’ Half-Marathon, set for March 3.The public is invited to nominate an Edinburg resident who has gone above and beyond for the community. Someone who, even when no one is watching, serves tirelessly, shows kindness, and has a servant’s heart, big or small, that always puts their neighbors before themselves.
