EDINBURG - On September 16, 2020 Edinburg resident 35-year-old Lucinda Diaz was arrested and charged with murder following the investigation for the suspicious death of her husband, 31 year old Craig Chastain. On September 5th, 2020 at approximately 9:28 p.m Edinburg police responded to The Village apartments at 5228 S. Sugar Rd in reference to a reported suicide attempt. When officers arrived on scene they observed Chastain unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
