— Edinburg Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of West Cano St. and 10th Avenue in response to an auto-pedestrian accident 8:36 a.m. Monday.The preliminary investigation suggests that the driver of a truck tractor (no trailer) was traveling southbound while a 55-yearold Edinburg man was crossing the street and then hit by the vehicle.The pedestrian that was hit in the accident has been identified as Troy Walter Hack of Edinburg.It remains unclear whether Hack was within a designated crosswalk.
