EDINBURG -- Edinburg police officers responded to a disturbance at the 700 Block of E. Russel Rd. in Edinburg at approximately 6:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8th. The disturbance involved Karla Marlen De Leon, 47, and her husband Hector De Leon, 46. The disturbance escalated and resulted with Karla Marlen gaining possession of a revolver and then fatally shooting her husband. The Edinburg Police Department was called and arrived shortly thereafter. Hector was pronounced dead at the scene. Karla Marlen was arrested and transported to the Edinburg Police Department jail.
