Eric Samuel Cardenas Jarvis, two years shy of turning 50, and one of the busiest criminal-defense attorneys in Hidalgo County, based on district court filings, pled guilty Monday in federal court to unlawfully accessing federal documents to help assist a known drug trafficking organization. In an ironic twist of fate, Jarvis also practiced law as a criminal defense attorney in federal court, including some major drug shipment busts (coke kilos, etc.).
