At the Pharr City Commission meeting Monday, former two-term Hidalgo County District Attorney Ricardo Rodriguez was named the city’s new deputy city attorney and prosecutor. For his work, he will reportedly be paid a monthly stipend of $5,000, which equates to $60,000 per year.The city has been without a deputy city attorney and prosecutor since the end of 2021 when the former fulltime legal staffer at the time resigned.
