Boy have I met some turkeys this past year, but that’s not the point of this column. The point is, to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.Actually, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It’s one of the very few holidays that corporate America has yet to find a way to commercialize, convincing American consumers to spend money on cheap things made overseas that they really don’t need.Ah, but Thanksgiving — good food, a nice day to get off work — Thursday, which usually includes a Friday off as well for a lot of people; and did I already mention, no gift buying?
