Hidalgo County EMS’ woes Insurance premiums, child support paid

Earlier this month, one of Hidalgo County’s largest ambulance providers, Hidalgo County EMS (Foundation), filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection to give the company a chance to restructure its debts. Based on a court document, the company owes 20 companies more than $900,000. Those companies represent the largest unsecured claims filed against Hidalgo County EMS, and includes a Pittsburg-based legal firm, which claims an unpaid balance of $260,000 for medical-billing services.
