Hidalgo health department reports 12 more deaths related to COVID-19 and 143 positive cases
EDINBURG – Officials with the Hidalgo County Health and Human Services Department reported 12 more deaths related to COVID-19 and 143 new known positive cases of the virus, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez said Monday. The results are a total of 1,853 recorded deaths related to the outbreak and 33,495 known positive cases.
“I want to continue to ask for your support to take the precautions necessary to fight this virus,” Judge Cortez said. “Now that some of our children are back to school and activities are increasing with more physical interaction we need to be extremely careful. That’s how we conquer the threat of this disease.”
