McAllen recently announced that it's moving forward with the Dove Avenue Roadway Extension Improvements Project via a news release Monday. The construction of the Bentsen Road and Dove Avenue intersection is slated to cause a full closure along Bentsen Road, the release said.The construction will begin Tuesday, Jan. 30 and be expected to be completed by Feb. 16. The roadway will be closed to 'all through traffic' between Buddy Owens Boulevard (3 Mile Lane) to Lark Avenue (4 Mile Lane).Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes during the road closure and practice caution when traveling through the area.
