To the editor: If L.U.P.E. in San Juan, Texas, is pushing fiercely to legalize legal residency for millions of illegal immigrants already in America in one lump sum – they are entirely wrong. Completely! No doubt exists that the American people are generous and compassionate. But I am extremely concerned that L.U.P.E. – of all people – does not realize that such acceptance in such a large number will keep labor wages miserably low.
