Special to the Advance AUSTIN — On Monday, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced Senate committee assignments for the 88th Legislative Session. Senator Juan 'Chuy' Hinojosa will serve as Vice Chair of the Senate Finance Committee. He will continue serving on the Senate Border Security Committee, the Senate Criminal Justice Committee, and the Senate Jurisprudence Committee. Earlier this session, Patrick had also appointed Hinojosa to the Senate Special Committee on Redistricting and named him vice chair of that committee.This is Hinojosa’s 9th legislative session to serve on the Senate Finance Committee and 8th session as vice chair.
