Staff ReportAn Edinburg resident has died in a major crash Monday night near northbound Frontage Road and E. Rogers Road.On Monday, shortly before 9 p.m., Edinburg Police Department officers responded to the accident and observed a beige Chrysler minivan that struck the rear of an 18-wheeler. The 18-wheeler was reported to have been traveling north on Frontage Road, according to a city release.The driver who died has been identified as 25-year-old Edinburg resident Daniel Laureano.The release states that Laureano was transported to Doctors Hospital at Renaissance but died to his injuries.The individual driving the 18-wheeler has no reported injuries.“The driver ...
