Mexican national heads to prison for trafficking narcotics in batteries

A 40-year-old man illegally residing in Edinburg has been ordered to federal prison following his conviction of trafficking meth, announced U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani.Pedro Castillo-Lopez pleaded guilty March 9 to possession with intent to distribute approximately 31.83 pounds of meth.U.S. District Judge Rolando Olvera has now ordered Castillo-Lopez to serve 96 months in federal prison.
