Migrant crossings in RGV sector on the rise

Almost five years ago, July 23, 2017, eight migrants were found dead inside a tractor-trailer rig parked near a San Antonio-area Walmart. Two later died in the hospital. All were victims of the sweltering Texas summer heat and a desire to enter the U.S. no matter the risk.In May 2003, 19 migrants being transported from the RGV to Houston died inside a sweltering truck.The driver in the 2017 tragedy was convicted to life in a federal prison, while the driver in the Houston case got almost 34 years in prison.Both drivers claimed they never could hear anyone banging for help ...
