EDINBURG -- The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare concern call last Thursday, April 16, at approximately 2:39 p.m. at the 5400 Block of Mountain View Drive in rural Edinburg. Sheriff’s deputies met with a concerned family member who provided entry into the residence where the bodies of 73-year-old Lindolfo Meza Sanchez and 41-year-old Bertha Bermudez were found with apparent gunshots wounds. The Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Specialists responded to the scene to continue the investigation and process the scene for evidence.
