A Hidalgo County jury found Gabriel Rivera-Cabrales, 46, of Pharr, guilty of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact. The jury’s verdict was returned on Dec. 19.On Feb. 25, 2024, the Pharr Police Department responded to a call in reference to a report involving Rivera-Cabrales and a 15-year-old child. The police found during its investigation that there was enough to charge the Defendant with Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact.During the trial, the jury heard testimony about three other victims that were previously abused by Rivera- Cabrales.He was sentenced to 10 years in prison after being found guilty.
