MISSION — Hidalgo County Precinct 3 Commissioner Everardo “Ever” Villarreal, will host a Breast Cancer awareness walk at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 30 to raise awareness, celebrate survivorship, and to hear testimonials of breast cancer survivors."These efforts are important to highlight during October, but such efforts need to extend throughout the year as well,” said Villarreal. “We hope that this event will serve as a reminder to both women and men that self-examinations and early detection are the best protection against breast cancer."The event is open to the public and media is also encouraged to attend between 7:30 a.m.
