PHARR – Dr. Daniel P. King, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD superintendent of Schools for the last 12 years, has announced his plans to retire this fall. September 30 will be his final day at the desk he’s occupied since June 2007. King has spent 42 years in public education, including 20 as superintendent in two school districts, Hidalgo and PSJA.
