MISSION – Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) announced $64,000 in federal funding for Teach for America in Hidalgo and Starr counties through One Star Foundation (Ameri-Corps Texas). The One Star Foundation supported by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency responsible for AmeriCorps and other national service programs. This grant will fund approximately 64 TFA corps members in the Rio Grande Valley, including 13 members in Texas’s 28th District.
