WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) tannounced he helped to secure $920,367,000 in federal funds as part of the American Rescue Plan for Rio Grande Valley Title I schools in the 15th District of Texas.
These funds come after state and local education leaders across the country expressed the urgent need for more resources to cope with the pandemic. The nearly $130 billion in K-12 funding from the American Rescue Plan will help districts safely reopen schools for in-person instruction and address the difficult, multi-year challenge of helping students make up for lost time in the classroom.
