EDINBURG – In a sevenhour period, Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol agents interrupted four smuggling attempts that resulted in the seizure of more than 1,100 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated nearly $1M.
Early on April 16th, agents assigned to the Rio Grande City station detected several subjects carrying suspected bundles of narcotics from the Rio Grande and load them into a vehicle. Agents interdicted the smuggling attempt, resulting in the seizure of several bundles of marijuana weighing approximately 450 lbs.
