EDINBURG — During a failed marijuana smuggling event, a subject becomes combative with a Border Patrol agent. Agents assigned to the Rio Grande City station observed several subjects carrying what appeared to be bundles of narcotics emerge from a brushy area near the U.S. river bank. Agents in the field responded and seized five bundles of suspected narcotics and apprehended two male subjects near Rio Grande City, Texas.
