A recent case of the New World screwworm has been confirmed in the Rio Grande Valley.The case was detected on July 18 in Starr County. As a result, Starr County Judge Eloy Vera also signed a Declaration of Disaster in a response to the screwworm fly.As of press time, there are no confirmed cases in Hidalgo County.County Judge Richard F.
