EDINBURG – Thirty-one more people in Hidalgo County died from COVID-19 related complications and 115 more have tested positive, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez said Monday. These numbers reflect a three-day total since health officials began taking weekends off two weeks ago for the first time since local infections began. “I remain encouraged that the numbers of people being affected by this virus continue to drop,” Judge Cortez said.
