The City of Edinburg announced Monday that it has selected a new fire chief to take the reins of its fire department.With a nearly 30-year career in fire service, Omar Garza has been tapped to undergo the leadership role.Garza’s journey in the fire service began in 1993 as a volunteer firefighter in his hometown of Alamo, according to a release.
