EDINBURG – Twenty-six more people in Hidalgo County were confirmed positive for COVID-19, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez said Monday. That brings the total number of known cases in the county to 759 people.
Of the 26 new cases, one included a county employee that works with the Health and Human Services Department. This employee was on leave when they tested positive and they never had contact with the public when they became infected.
