EDINBURG – Hidalgo County Health officials reported a total of 73 new positive cases of COVID-19 as well as 22 additional deaths. “I urge all residents to continue taking precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19,” said Judge Richard F. Cortez. “This includes practicing social distancing at all times, wearing cloth face coverings in public places, practicing good hand hygiene, and isolating immediately if you show symptoms of COVID-19.” The latest case totals bring the count of people in the county who have died from this disease to 1,431.
