PHARR – During an Oct. 21 special-called meeting, Pete Alvarez, Pharr District Engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation, gave an update to the Pharr City Commission on the upcoming I-2 / I-69 Pharr Interchange Project.
“This started off as a small $150-million-dollar project focused on the bridges that connect I-2 to I-69 however, in 2017 we looked back at the scope of the project and realized that in order to make this truly regional project we needed to expand the project limits and construction,” said Alvarez while addressing the commission.
