By the time last week’s front page broke – CDC model: 74k dead by August – the new CDC number had already eclipsed the 100,000 projected death toll. This week, as of Tuesday, a new report came out, published by The NY Times Monday, based on a leaked White House CDC memo, which said that by June 1, the daily death toll in the U.S. could reach 3,000.
