WESLACO — A Weslaco man was sentenced to 58 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice — Institutional Division for first degree murder.An in-person jury trial was held from March 2-6, 2022 in the 332nd District Court for Victor Lee Alfaro, 31, who was convicted in the murder of Reynaldo Reyes, Jr. The jury handed down the verdict on May 6.The Honorable Judge Mario E. Ramirez, Jr. presided over the trial. The case was prosecuted by Felony Division Assistant District Attorney’s Jay Garza and Gabriella Guerena; with assistance from Victims Unit Court Advocate Hector Garcia; the Edinburg Police Department;
