Ducks: Master Aviators

When the Duck Hunters aren’t dropping them from the sky, ducks sure know how to fly. So do most other migratory birds, such as geese and cranes. In fact, most migratory birds know how to fly so well in that familiar V formation, military planes have followed their example for years.

PNC Grant funds Early Childhood Workshops at IMAS

The International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) is excited to announce the continuation of its Young Adventurers program, funded by a generous grant from the PNC Foundation. This program provides accessible early childhood learning opportunities designed for children ages one to six with an accompanying adult, emphasizing the importance of play and exploration in fostering early STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills.

Sen. ‘Chuy’ Hinojosa honored at Texas Veterans Resource Fair

Special to the Advance EDINBURG — On Saturday, Sen. Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa joined the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC), the Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB), and the City of Edinburg to host the Texas Veterans Resource Fair at the Edinburg Arts, Culture & Events Center. During the event, Senator Hinojosa received Certificates of Appreciation from the TVC and VLB for his service in the United States Marine Corps and for his advocacy on behalf of veterans in the Texas Senate.
