Region One announces results of Board Election
Special to the Advance EDINBURG — The Region One Education Service Center Board of Directors canvassed votes from the Board of Directors election during the regularly scheduled meeting held April 17, 2024. Three board seats were up for re-election: Place 1 (Hidalgo County), Place 4 (Hidalgo County) and Place 7 (Brooks & Willacy Counties). Each incumbent retained their positions.

McAllen Public Library to Celebrate Día: A Day of Children, Books and Fun
Families are invited to join McAllen Public Library's award-winning Día celebration, honoring El día de los niños/ El día de los libros (Children’s Day/ Book Day). This community event will take place on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Main Library, located at 4001 N. 23rd St. in McAllen.
Hub City Toastmasters meets at Pharr Library
HUB City Toastmasters meets each Wednesday at the Pharr Memorial Library, 121 E. Cherokee, second floor, from noon until 1 p.m. Visitors are welcome.
