SDue to an overabundance of safety concerns, and within its legal authority to act in the best interest of the welfare and safety of its residents, the City of Peñitas has approved an ordinance (Ordinance 2023-030) that regulates the operation of trucks, semi-trailers, or road tractors on city streets, alleys and public highways within the city limits.
The filing deadline has been set for anyone wanting to run for the Hidalgo County Appraisal District. Hidalgo County residents who are interested in running for the board may file their candidacy beginning Jan. 17. The filing period ends on Feb. 16.
