Hidalgo County and STC form partnership to create leadership academy

Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez and South Texas College President Ricardo Solis signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday that will form a unique partnership to create a Youth Leadership Academy aimed at training future generations of policymakers about the complexities of poverty and how to mitigate its effects locally.

Cinderella’s first dogs of summer

Elsa Sue, also known as Suzi, is an adorable Dachshund cross, born in August 2019. She’s a happy little pooch who loves people and being with other dogs. She’s playful and loving and ready to find her happily-ever-after home with the right person or family. At thirty pounds, she’s a bit overweight, but going on long walks with a human companion and playing fetch and other games in her new home will have her back in tip-top shape in no time.
