City of Pharr Finance Department earns GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
The Pharr City Commission recognized the Finance Department for winning the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the 15th consecutive year. GFOA congratulates all budget award winners for preparing high-quality budget documents that meet program criteria and striving to improve budget transparency in their community. “We are proud of this award, which is a team effort and nationally recognized the work we are doing,” said Karla Saavedra, City of Pharr CGFO Finance Director. “The application process is long and requires a compilation of all our work from throughout the year representing transparency, excellence, and it shows the dedication that our staff has to the residents of Pharr,” she added.
