LAREDO — U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at Laredo Port of Entry this weekend apprehended two men wanted in connection with outstanding felony arrest warrants for alleged crimes of a sexual nature in two separate incidents.
According to statements made during the Feb. 21 PSJA ISD board meeting, the district is down approximately 3,000 students compared to last year. To help counter that, the district has devised a new program – PSJA Collegiate School of Health Professionals, which will be open to both high school and middle school students. The question raised by at least one board member, Carlos Villegas, during that meeting is whether the new program will actually help reclaim some of those lost students, or simply siphon students from other PSJA campuses?
A week ago, the New York PD was introducing its two new “emotional support” dogs to the public. This week, Pharr PD is doing the same, but with one dog, not two.
The Republican Party is on the move in Hidalgo County, as recent voting numbers suggest, but the real “tell” will come Nov. 8 when the two parties face off in the general election.
