McALLEN — Congressman Vicente Gonzalez, TX-15, announced Monday that the Bureau of Reclamation, in conjunction with the WaterSMART Project as part of the White House Interagency Drought Relief Working Group, has approved $1,327,305 for the McAllen Public Utility’s Reuse Water Enhancement Project.
Orlando Eric Rodriguez, 17, was arrested March 18 and arraigned in McAllen Municipal Court on the charge of aggravated assault, a firstdegree felony. His bond was set at $100,000.
The Pharr Police Department arrested Francisco Elias Flores, 24, for outstanding warrants of evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance on March 17.

PHARR — The City of Pharr is proud to announce that Mario Lizcano has been appointed to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) by Governor Greg Abbott. The governor made the announcement via a news release this morning. As a regulatory State agency, TCOLE establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the people of Texas are served by highly trained and ethical law enforcement, corrections, and telecommunications personnel. Lizcano's term will expire on August 30, 2027.
