Sure, I hope you buy the true-crime book I just wrote – “Murder for the Love of Money.” Even if you don’t, though, if you have elderly parents with some money, you should at least school yourself on the subject of “elder exploitation,” which plays a major part in the book. Possibly save yourself a lot of heartache in the end if you know ahead of time what to watch for.
McALLEN – Plans were announced today for Driscoll Children’s Hospital to open and independently operate a freestanding pediatric hospital in the Rio Grande Valley. The name of the hospital will be Driscoll Children’s Hospital Rio Grande Valley.
Most of us have some memory of dining at a Luby’s cafeteria, or using it for take-out. Some family celebration, for example, or some occasion that brings back some nice memories. For years, personally, I was a regular at the Luby’s on N. 10 in McAllen, and I remember when the Houston-based chain opened one up at the old El Centro Mall in Pharr, knocking its neighbor, Old Mexico restaurant, out of the picture. Sad for Old Mexico, but the new Luby’s was nice.
