Congressman Gonzalez announces $1.25 million grant for UTRGV’s South Texas Industrial Assessment Center

WASHINGTON - Recently, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced $1,250,338 for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s (UTRGV) South Texas Industrial Assessment Center (ST-IAC). This initiative is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy as part of a larger $60 million nationwide investment for university-based Industrial Assessment Centers (IACs).

McAllen Purchasing Department honored with Industry Award

McALLEN — The City of McAllen Purchasing Department has once again – for the fourth time in a row! – earned the Annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award. The Achievement of Excellence in Procurement recognizes organizational excellence in public and non-profit procurement. The City of McAllen Purchasing Department received this award back in 2018, 2019 and in 2020.
