McAllen’s Bicentennial Blvd. extension not safe for runners, cyclists

The City of McAllen’s Bicentennial Boulevard extension construction is still ongoing and a troubling trend is emerging that is cause for concern: McAllen residents are running and biking along the constructed road extension as contractors are working in the area. This is especially worrying to contractors who are operating heavy equipment and vehicles along the road. This is creating a potentially dangerous situation for anyone on-site other than authorized personnel.

Permanent ramp closures

PHARR – Due to continued weather conditions, the permanent ramp closures of the I-2 eastbound entrance ramp, just east of Cage Boulevard, and the Veterans Boulevard exit (147A) ramp, have been rescheduled once again.
