Crop dusters vs. corporate

There is this piece of property on the far south side of Mission that I go to regularly, and one of the best parts about being there are the crop dusters I see still working the fields just south of there. I can watch them fly low over the homes, then swoop down toward this field, level off, and then dump the chemicals, pull up, 60-degree bank, and then pull a 180 (turn 180 degrees). Lucky $@#*&$%# I think to myself as I watch them fly by the seat of their pants. Usually they’re either flying a turbine Pawnee or a turbine Ag-Cat. The days of the big radial-engine Ag-Cats are, for the most part, gone, although a few can still be spotted. Both are beautiful planes.
